Day 1: Nairobi – Drive to Maasai Mara

  • Pick-up: 07:00 AM from Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport

  • Drive: Approx. 5–6 hours (270 km)

Activities:

  • Scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley.

  • Arrive at your camp/lodge in time for lunch.

  • Afternoon game drive in Maasai Mara to start tracking migratory herds and predators.

Meals: Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Tented camp or lodge near migration corridor (customizable)

Day 2: Full-Day Migration Game Drive (Mara River Focus)

Activities:

  • Early breakfast and full-day game drive with packed lunch.

  • Head toward the Mara River to witness:

    • Wildebeest crossings

    • Predators like lions, crocodiles, and hyenas in action.

  • Explore areas like Serena, Musiara, and Mara Triangle, where crossings are common.

  • Return to camp by evening.

Day 3: Explore the Mara – Optional Hot Air Balloon Safari

Options:

  • Option 1: Early morning hot air balloon safari over the migration herds (pre-booking required, $450–$500), followed by champagne breakfast.

  • Option 2: Morning and afternoon game drives to track specific crossings or predator behavior.

  • Optional cultural visit to a Maasai village ($ extra).

Day 4: Maasai Mara – Return to Nairobi

  • Departure: 06:30 AM after breakfast or optional morning game drive.

  • Drive back to Nairobi, lunch en route.

  • Drop-off at JKIA or Nairobi hotel (late afternoon/early evening).
